March Must Haves

Hey everybody!

Today's post is going to be  all of my favorites from the month of March. These are the things that I've used a lot or I've eaten that were really good or things I  like to snuggle with.

I'm going to start off with is the CHI 44 iron guard. I use this product every single time I put heat in my hair because then it makes it stronger and makes it so your hair isn't so brittle.

The next product is actually a candy that I got for my birthday. They are the Werther's original caramel coffee hard candy and they taste amazing, like you're drinking a cappuccino. If you want to try one, remind me to bring them to school I'll let you have one because they're the best candy I have ever had.

Next on my list is a perfume from BeautiControl called Love Fool. I usually wear this perfume when I feel more dressy, which I've been dressing a lot like lately, and it just smells really feminine and fancy.

I favorite clothing item for this month is my black skater skirt that I bought at JCPenney. I have been wearing the skirt with black nylons and I have also been wearing it with patterned tank tops and leather jackets. You don't have a skater skirt, I recommend getting one because they go with pretty much everything.

When my breath is stinky, I tend to go for mints more than gum because I have braces. My favorite mints right now are the new mentos mints in the two flavors that they have, peppermint and Wintergreen.

My favorite snuggle buddy right now is my polkadot and zebra print blanket. My grandma and I made this last Christmas together and it is so soft and comfortable. We sewed it together after Christmas and we put a silk lining around it. I snuggle with this when I'm cold and it's pretty much my only blanket that I use when I go to bed.

The last item on the list is my favorite song for this month which is the new Francesca Battistelli song, Write Your Story. I am posting another post tomorrow about all my favorite songs right now and I'll put more about this one and some others that I really liked this month.

That is all for now my friends, so have a great week and I will talk to you tomorrow in my next post.
Bye!

Birthday Haul and Other Stuff

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a while..

Now that I am finally going to make a post, it is probably going to be pretty long :)

To start off, I got my ACT scores back on Friday afternoon. I was so scared that I did bad and would have to retake it... Apparently, my Mom opened it before I got home, so she already knew, which made me even more nervous. When I opened my letter, I didn't know where to look! Then I flipped it over and saw a 25! That made me so happy that I jumped up and down. A 25 was my goal.

Next, I'll talk about Prom! It is next month and I am really excited about it. I don't have a date, even though it'd be fun to have one, but I am going anyway just to hangout. I have already picked out my dress, but I am ordering it on eBay for cheap, so it won't be here for a while. Prom is a masquerade theme this year, so I wanted a really classy dress with lace. I totally fell in love with this one! I am ordering the black and ivory dress and I will wear classy heels too.

This is the length:

And here is how I am doing my hair. Color and all!

Lastly, I'll get to what this post is supposed to be about, my birthday haul. Saturday was my birthday, along with the talent show. The talent show was really fun. My friend, Lilia, and I did a cymbal and triangle duet. It was a mock act so it was supposed to be funny. I'll attach the video below for you to watch. So, for my birthday, I didn't really have a party, although I am planning one next week with my friends. I am going to show you all of the presents I receive and who the were from...

The talent show video:

I received candy with all of my other presents, and yes, these are all of my favorites :)

Next, I got a Coach purse from my mom. It is gold and sparkles with pink accents. It is just the right size for a wallet, a phone, some money, and an iPad mini. Which brings me to my next item.

My amazing mother bought me an iPad mini. It is so cute and small, but it is also really useful for blogging and such! I love it so much!!

I got these gifts from a friend from church. Btw, the candle smells like strawberry jam! Yum...

I was really excited about this one! When it came out a couple of weeks ago I was going to order one, but I didn't. I watch the Duggars show on TLC all of the time and I love them so much!! I can't wait to start reading this!

That's all for today lovelies! Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you all had a great weekend! Ta ta for now!

Book Review: Crazy Love & Divergent

Hey friends! Haven't talk to you in a while :)

I finished both of these books within a couple of days. Crazy Love took me about 10 weeks because I read it as a study tool with my youth group. Divergent, I read in a matter of a week.

I'll start with Crazy Love. This book is all about helping the church today to grow in relationship with God. This book really convicted me on some areas in my life and God guided me in the new way that I should be walking. For example, I deleted most of the programs from my phone so I didn't have any excuses for not spending time with God. This book is well written, by Francis Chan, in a way that helps you see what God's plans are for us as a church to help our community and overall the world. I recommend this book for any Christian out there that doesn't know if they are fully committed to God.

Next is Divergent. For those who know me personally, you know that I hate reading. I read this book so fast that I surprised myself! I didn't know if I would like it and at the beginning I was confused, but honestly, this is one of the best fiction books I have ever read... I seriously couldn't put it down. It is about this world that is divided up into factions, or cliques, and each group has different personalities and traits. There is a test and ceremony when you turn 16 where you decide where you want to be the rest of your life. The main character, Beatrice, is Divergent, which means she can manipulate simulated tests and she is a "danger" to the government because she can't be controlled. After she chooses her new faction, she falls in love with a guy, Tobias, and they have to keep their Divergence a secret because it can get them killed. You have to read the rest of the book to figure out the rest, but there is a summary. It is really good, and also really hard to explain you without actually reading it. Again, I recommend this book for anyone that liked The Maze Runner series or The Hunger Game series. This book/series is really similar and somewhat better in my opinion. Veronica Roth is an amazing writer when it comes to pulling on your heart strings :)

That's all for today's post! Hope you learned something new or found a new interest in any of these books.
Until next time friends!

Talent....

Hey Everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted lately. I had to take the ACT this week, like every other Junior, so I was kinda busy :)

I wanted to show you how talented I was, lol! You'll see when you watch the video :)

I just figured out how to use this program on my mom's iMac, iMovie, and played the video in reverse! I love the look of it! Hope you enjoy lovelies!
