Hey friends! Haven't talk to you in a while :)
I'll start with Crazy Love. This book is all about helping the church today to grow in relationship with God. This book really convicted me on some areas in my life and God guided me in the new way that I should be walking. For example, I deleted most of the programs from my phone so I didn't have any excuses for not spending time with God. This book is well written, by Francis Chan, in a way that helps you see what God's plans are for us as a church to help our community and overall the world. I recommend this book for any Christian out there that doesn't know if they are fully committed to God.
Next is Divergent. For those who know me personally, you know that I hate reading. I read this book so fast that I surprised myself! I didn't know if I would like it and at the beginning I was confused, but honestly, this is one of the best fiction books I have ever read... I seriously couldn't put it down. It is about this world that is divided up into factions, or cliques, and each group has different personalities and traits. There is a test and ceremony when you turn 16 where you decide where you want to be the rest of your life. The main character, Beatrice, is Divergent, which means she can manipulate simulated tests and she is a "danger" to the government because she can't be controlled. After she chooses her new faction, she falls in love with a guy, Tobias, and they have to keep their Divergence a secret because it can get them killed. You have to read the rest of the book to figure out the rest, but there is a summary. It is really good, and also really hard to explain you without actually reading it. Again, I recommend this book for anyone that liked The Maze Runner series or The Hunger Game series. This book/series is really similar and somewhat better in my opinion. Veronica Roth is an amazing writer when it comes to pulling on your heart strings :)
That's all for today's post! Hope you learned something new or found a new interest in any of these books.
Until next time friends!
~Morgan~
